Train To Nowhere

On a train to nowhere,
Been goin' for twenty-one years,
Some say that I'll get there
When the dark clouds clear.

I've had my problems,
I've had more than my share,
So I tried to get past them,
But my friends weren't there.

So it wasn't that simple,
And It's not so easy,
Because I'm not that great,
Why don't they believe me?

The downward spiral,
Takes the train to hell,
Where I toss my last penny,
Into a wishing well.

Now what I wished for,
I can't say out loud,
But here's a hint for you,
It's written in the clouds.

But as we emerge,
Onto the surface again,
I see the clouds still there,
I just won't reach the end.

On a train to nowhere,
My skin starts to peel.
I'm killing myself,
Just to see how it feels.
